training....

Well, it's my last week and Cara's training is going full steam ahead....
Lots to learn, lots to get covered. Starting off with the basics of adding data to the site, and moving up to adding new categories to the directory and adding events to the calendar!
Today Cara is working on a news story to begin with, so we'll see how she gets on...
I won't be gone entirely though, I'll still be keeping an eye on things to make sure it's all running smoothly for when I return in february!

lots of sales and new people!

Since my last blog, there have been many sales, and a new member of staff, Cara.... She will be taking over my position as I am regretably moving on to another job for a few months, but I will be returning afterwards. Since Cara joined us we have made great strides in sales and general progress on the site, the webcam is working, the news page is being updated regularly and more and more events.... keep checking the site!!!

The webcam was running, until we ran a promotion on facebook. Then we broke it! Our tech guy is working on getting it back up and running again. More has been happening on the rest of the site, minor updates here and there.. more and more people signing up to the directory and more people looking at the site, good news all round.

keeping things running

The site is coming along nicely with the webcam almost running properly, we are having some issues with certain browsers but we are working towards a solution.
More and more people are signing up to the business directory, so the list of local companies is growing and growing.
More updates to come on the rest of the site, inlcuding some aesthetic changes across the site....

I will be bugging our tech guy until it works properly and looks great! Then I will have to find something else to get him working on!
An improvement to the enquiries page was made today, which I am very happy with.

webcam is nearly live!

Craig and I have spent the afternoon fixing up the webcam, everything but the power supply is rigged up, so tomorrow we will finish up and have live pictures of downham streaming 24 hours a day!

Whats occuring?

We need your news!!! The news page is LIVE, but with only one story. Charlotte and I have been out today visiting the places that we think are going to get the news page off to a flying start. We have also spent a little time looking at the events page to make sure we are up to date with everything happening in the area.
